A smaller format bottle is on the way for one of Alaskan Brewing Co.’s former Pilot Series releases.

The beer is SMaSH Galaxy, an 8.5 percent ABV double IPA brewed exclusively with Galaxy hops and pilsner malts. The beer was first released as part of the Juneau, Alaska-based brewery’s Pilot Series earlier this year packaged in 22-ounce bottles.

The term SMaSH comes from the fact that the beer incorporates only one malt and one hop, and stands for Single Malt and Single Hop.

According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), SMaSH Galaxy will now be packaged in 12-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
