Fans of Alaskan Brewing Co.’s beer named after one of the state’s natural bays are getting the choice of a larger can.
The beer is Icy Bay IPA, a 6.2 percent ABV IPA brewed with two-row malts as well as Apollo, bravo, calypso, Cascade and Summit hops. The beer was first released as a year-round option by the Juneau, Alaska-based brewery in 2007 and is currently available in six-packs of both 12-ounce cans and 12-ounce bottles.
According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Icy Bay IPA will now be available in 16-ounce cans. An email sent to the brewery for information regarding a release date and distribution details was not immediately returned.
