Abita Springs, La.-based Abita Brewing Co. is celebrating its 30th year of brewing craft beer with the release of an anniversary beer.
This new beer, named 30th Anniversary, is a Belgian-style IPA with an ABV of 7 percent. It is hopped and dry-hopped with Hallertau Blanc hops, sourced from Germany, and boasts a malt bill consisting of pale, pilsner, and wheat malts.
30th Anniversary is a tribute to the Belgian settlers who left their home and settled in Louisiana, near New Orleans, aboard their ship, La Loire, nearly 300 years ago.
According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), 30th Anniversary will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles.
An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
