A surprise release last year from Oskar Blues Brewery returning in Septmeber.

In an email, Chad Melis, marketing director for the Longmont, Colo.-based brewery told Tenemu that it will once again be releasing its Barrel-Aged Ten Fidy in 19.2-ounce cans. This newest release was aged in “a mix of (different) brands” of bourbon barrels for eight months.

In 2015, Oskar Blues released cans of the 12.9 percent ABV barrel-aged imperial stout for the first time, although it has been available on draft as well as in crowlers in many different incarnations and aged in multiple brands of bourbon barrels over the years. Those 19.2-ounce cans were sold exclusively through both the Longmont, Colo. and Brevard, N.C. brewery locations.

According to Melis, the newest release of Barrel-Aged Ten Fidy is scheduled to be released in September and will be available at all three brewery locations in Colorado, North Carolina and Austin, Texas. In addition, a “very limited” number of cans will be distributed.
