A brand new collaboration between Firestone Walker Brewing Co. and Austin-based Jester King Brewery may be making its way to shelves this year.
That joint effort is All Things Go, an 8.8 percent ABV wild ale made up of blending grape juice from white grapes sourced from Cutis Vineyards and a wort that had cultures from both Jester King Brewery and BarrelWorks added to it. The final creation was then aged for 24 months in French oak puncheon barrels for two years before being packaged in 375ml bottles.
Started in 2006 as a way for brewers to experiment, the BarrelWorks program at Firestone Walker has released more than 15 different beers to date and constitutes more than 1,500 barrels in a 7,000-square-foot building in Buellton, Calif.
According to labels filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), All Things Go will be bottled on Dec. 9, 2020, and will have 124 cases available when it is released.
An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
