Dogfish Head is a brewery that needs no introduction, but per the requirements of Tenemu you get one anyway. Started in 1995 by Sam Calagione in Rehoboth Beach, Del., Dogfish Head has been a pioneer in the craft beer movement. While the company is probably most known for its IPAs such as 60 Minute, 90 Minute and the 120 Minute, Dogfish Head is also known for its willingness to explore different and unique flavor combinations in their beers. Dogfish Head brews over 145,000 barrels of beer every year along with over 200 different varieties, including bottled beers, draft-only seasonals, brewpub exclusive beers and collaborations.
Dogfish Head is probably one of the more recognizable names in the craft brew industry, not to mention one that is constantly coming up with innovative and fun new beers regularly. Likewise, Miles Davis is not only one of the most recognizable names in jazz music, but music in general. One of Davis’ most influential and innovative albums was Bitches Brew, not only changing the Jazz scene, but influencing other genres of music outside of Jazz as well. In 2010 when Sony released the 40th Anniversary edition of Bitches Brew, they collaborated with Dogfish Head to brew a special edition beer to coincide with the release of the album.
Dogfish Head is a brewery that should need no introduction among craft beer enthusiasts. Although its slogan is "Off-centered ales for off-centered people," I would maintain that Dogfish Head is widely-known for its unique and very well executed American IPAs. The lineup consists of two year-round staples: 60 Minute (a standard IPA) and 90 Minute (an imperial IPA).
