According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Bell’s Brewery, Inc. is working on releasing Key Lime Wheat a 5.8 percent ABV ale brewed with lime that will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles.
The new beer would join the Comstock, Mich.-based brewery’s General Store Exclusive Series which focuses on limited, small batches of experimental beers that are only sold at the brewery’s General Store.
Bell’s has previously released or filed labels for at least three other fruited wheat ale variants, including Citrus Wheat, a 6 percent ABV ale brewed with lemon and orange zest; Cherry Wheat, a 5.8 percent ABV ale brewed with cherries; and Grapefruit Wheat, a 6 percent ABV ale brewed with grapefruit zest.
An email sent to the brewery seeking more information was not immediately returned.
