A brand new joint effort between American Solera and Biergarten Wine & Spirits goes on sale this weekend.
The beer in question is KDS, a 13 percent ABV imperial stout aged in a single bourbon barrel that previously held Knob Creek bourbon for 12 months.
In an email to Tenemu, American Solera indicated both the initials that make up the name of the beer and the photograph depicted on the label are a tribute to the owner of the Jenks, Okla.-based retailer’s father.
According to American Solera, KDS will be packaged in 500ml bottles ($40) and will have a one bottle per person purchase limit when it is released at the brewery on Jan. 15.
