Wicked Weed Brewing made headlines last month when it was acquired by Anheuser-Busch InBev, but this time the news is about a brand new beer out of the North Carolina brewery.
According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Wicked Weed will release Denouement, a barrel-aged American sour ale.
The label reads:
Denouement is an American sour ale for the purist in all of us. Aged in neutral wine barrels. this golden sour has no added fruits, spices, or herbs which allows us to showcase the nuance or subtlety of our wild yeast strains. Once this beer reaches its peak complexity, we blend those barrels to attain the perfect resonance of house cultures in Denouement.
The 7.4 percent ABV sour will be packaged in 500ml bottles.
An email sent to the brewery for further information was not immediately returned.
