Brewing beer with food is nothing new, but The Veil Brewing Co. and Evil Twin Brewing have taken it to another level with a new collaboration.

Last week, the two breweries joined forces to brew Fried Fried Chicken Chicken, a double dry-hopped “Old Country” double IPA that included two party trays of Chick-fil-A chicken tenders added to one of the two mashes. In an email, Matt Tarpey, head brewer at The Veil Brewing Co., told Tenemu that the idea of the beer came from “Jeppe’s first Cracker Barrel experience in conjunction with eating a lot of chicken wings at a few of our favorite spots in Richmond.”

According to Tarpey, Fried Fried Chicken Chicken will be packaged in four-packs of 16-ounce cans and is scheduled to be released in “the next 2-3 weeks” exclusively at The Veil Brewing Co.
