Less than two weeks after he left his position as head brewer for Surly Brewing Co., Todd Haug has found a new home.

According to an article in Mpls. St.Paul Magazine, that home is Munster, Ind.-based 3 Floyds Brewing Co., where he will be working alongside head brewer Chris Boggess, helping with the brewery’s expansion plans as well as the recently announced distillery. In addition, Haug’s wife Linda will be brought on to add her expertise on Three Floyd’s brewpub, which is also located in Munster.

On Oct. 19, Surly announced via a post on it’s website that Haug had left the Minneapolis, Minn.-based brewery in order to “pursue other opportunities and challenges in the industry.” Haug started out as a home brewer when he was 19 before joining Summit Brewing at the age of 21. He then worked for a brewpub named Rock Bottom for four years before getting his job at Surly in 2006.
