After being draft-only since its opening in November 2014, The Collective Brewing Project will be bottling one of its beers for the first time this summer.

The Fort Worth, Texas-based brewery’s first beer to be bottled will be American Sour Red, a 6.5 percent ABV sour red ale that is aged in cabernet wine barrels for 3 1/2 months. The new bottle conditioned beer is part of the brewery’s Funkytown Series, which also includes Petite Golden Sour (4.5 percent ABV) and Funky Pale (5.2 percent ABV).

According to Ryan Deyo, co-owner and head brewer, about 1,000 500ml bottles of American Sour Red will be hand filled using a machine built by co-owner Mike Goldfuss to be sold sometime this summer at an event at the brewery.
