Surly Brewing Co. is going black for a new release in bottles.

According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Surly will be releasing Furious Black, a black IPA brewed with Ahtanum, Amarillo, Cascade, Simcoe and warrior hops. The black IPA debuted as a draft-only release during Darkness Day 2015 and uses the Minneapolis, Minn.-based brewery’s year-round Surly IPA (6.6 percent ABV) as its base but adds roasted barley, which gives the beer its dark look.

Furious Black IPA will be packaged in 750ml bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
