After more than two years, a collaboration between Side Project Brewing and Evil Twin Brewing is finally ready.

The beer in question is Styrbjørn, a double barrel-aged sour quadrupel brewed with muscavado sugar before being fermented with raisins in both red wine and whiskey barrels, then conditioned on plums in port barrels. This is the first time the two breweries have joined forces, and the quadrupel was brewed at Saint Lewis, Mo.-based Side Project in late March 2015.

According to a post on Side Project’s Twitter page, Styrbjørn will be packaged in 750ml bottles and is scheduled to be released at the brewery sometime next month.
