The newest incarnation of Saint Arnold Brewing Co.’s Bishop’s Barrel Series might look a little familiar to fans.

According to labels filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Bishop’s Barrel 18 will be an old ale aged in Chardonnay wine barrels with brettanomyces and conditioned on cherries. This is actually the second time labels have been filed for Bishop’s Barrel 18, as labels came to light in August 2016 that described it as an an oat wine ale aged rye whiskey barrels.

Saint Arnold’s Bishop’s Barrel Series is a way for the brewery to experiment with various beers with adjuncts and aged in different types of barrels. The first beer in the series was released in 2012 and bottles are sold exclusively in bars and restaurants across the brewery’s distribution network.

As with previous incarnations in the series, Bishop’s Barrel 18 will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
