For the first time in more than six months, New Belgium Brewing Co. now has a permeant ceo.

According to a press release, Steve Fechheimer will be in charge of multiple roles at the Ft. Collins, Colo.-based brewery, including overseeing New Belgium’s executive team, working on short-term strategy, and day-to-day operations, among others. Fechheimer will replace Kim Jordan, New Belgium’s co-founder and former CEO, who has been serving as interim ceo since Christine Perich departed in November 2016.

“I’m excited and humbled by the opportunity to lead such a wonderful company,” said Fechheimer in a press release. “New Belgium, with its incredible history and heritage, has an amazingly bright future, and I look forward to working with Kim, the leadership team and all of the nearly 800 coworkers to build upon our great foundation.”

Fechheimer earned his undergraduate degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago. His most recent job was at Beam Suntory, where he served as chief strategy officer for eight years before joining New Belgium.

In the press release, New Belgium states that Fechheimer will start his new position as ceo in mid-August.
