The next bottle release for Jester King Brewery is a beer that that has not been seen since 2013.

The beer is 2017 Viking Metal, an 8.3 percent ABV Scandinavian-inspired farmhouse ale brewed with smoked malt, juniper, and myrica gale before being aged in barrels that previously held Old Tom Gin sourced from Ransom Wine Co. & Distillery in Oregon. Viking Metal uses the Austin-based brewery’s Gotlandsdricka (6.6 percent ABV) as its base, and was the first beer that Jester King released after Texas changed a law and allowed to go sales at breweries in the state in 2013.

According to a post on Jester King’s Facebook page, 2017 Viking Metal will be packaged in 750ml bottles ($22) with about 1,900 bottles available and will have a two bottle per person per day purchase limit when it goes on sale on Aug. 25 exclusively at the brewery.
