This week, Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery will be releasing the latest incarnation of one of its most popular stouts.

The beer in question is Bourbon Barrel Oro Negro 2017, a 12.1 percent ABV stout conditioned on cacao nibs, cinnamon sticks, habanero peppers and vanilla beans before being aged in bourbon barrels for one year. The stout uses the Athens, Ohio-based brewery’s Oil of Aphrodite (10 percent ABV) as its base, and was first released last year.

In an email, Jackie O’s head brewer Brad Clark told Tenemu that Bourbon Barrel Oro Negro will be packaged in 375ml bottles ($11.99) and will have a one case per person purchase limit when it is released at the brewery on Aug. 11. In addition, some of the estimated 800 cases will see distribution throughout Jackie O’s distribution network.
