There will be one less collaboration between Heavy Seas Beer and other breweries in 2017 compared to this year.
The Halethorpe, Md.-based brewery will be continuing The Partner Ships, a series of collaborations with different breweries around the county that debuted earlier this year and eventually came to encompass four different releases. According to Heavy Seas, there will be a total of three releases in the brewery’s series for 2017: Union Craft Brewing in Baltimore, Md. in February, Tampa, Fla.-based Cigar City Brewing in July and Cincinnati, Ohio-based MadTree Brewing Co. in November.
This year’s releases included:
- Red IPA, a 7.2 percent ABV IPA brewed in collaboration with Maine Beer Co. of Freeport, Maine
- Hoppelbock, a 7.25 percent ABV lager brewed in collaboration with Hershey, Pa.-based Tröegs Independent Brewing
- Rye Wit, a 7.25 percent ABV witbier brewed in collaboration with Athens, Ga.-based Terrapin Beer Co.
- Brown IPA, a 7.25 percent ABV brown IPA brewed in collaboration with Escondido, Calif.-based Stone Brewing Co.
While Heavy Seas has announced that the first collaboration with Union Craft Brewing will be an olde ale, no other details have been released at this time. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately released.
