Today is not only National Coffee Day, but also the day that Founders Brewing Co. has decided to release one of its most popular beers that just happens to be brewed with coffee.

That beer is Breakfast Stout 2017, an 8.3 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with two types of imported chocolate, oats and a blend of Colombian and Sumatra coffee sourced from Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Ferris Coffee and Nut. The seasonal release is available annually from September-December.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for… and on #NationalCoffeeDay, no less! . Breakfast Stout is available on draft and in 4-packs of 12oz bottles in our taproom starting today at 11am. It’ll make it’s way out to the rest of you starting next week. #brewedforus

As has historically been the case, Breakfast Stout is packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles which have a suggested retail price of $10.99. According to a post on Founders Facebook page, Breakfast Stout 2017 is now available at the brewery’s taproom, and bottles of the stout will begin shipping to retailers across the brewery’s distribution network next week.
