A new release from Community Beer Co. is a serious beer with a silly name.

The beer is Silly Gose, a 5 percent ABV gose-style ale brewed with apricot puree, coriander, salt and tangerine peel. In an email, Jamie Fulton, brewmaster at Community, told Tenemu that the citrus peel is added during the brewhouse while the apricot puree is added during fermentation.

Community has released a number of gose-style beers in the past, but this is the first one to be packaged in cans.

According to Fulton, Silly Gose will be packaged on draft and in 12-ounce cans and is scheduled to rereleased across the Dallas-based brewery’s distribution network this summer.
