Clown Shoes Beer is going fruity for its next IPA release.

The new beer is named Pineapple Space Cake, a 7.5 percent ABV IPA brewed with Mosaic hops and fresh pineapple puree. The IPA uses the Ipswich, Mass.-based brewery’s Space Cake IPA (9 percent ABV) as its base, but features lighter malt bill as well as less alcohol.

Clown Shoes has bottled three previous variants of the double IPA: Lemon Drop Space Cake (9 percent ABV), which replaced the normal Mosaic hops found in the beer with lemon drop hops and was released exclusively in the state of Connecticut; Vic Secret Space Cake (10 percent ABV), a double IPA brewed with Mosiac hops before being dry-hopped with Vic Secret hops from Australia; and Space Cake #7 (7.77 percent ABV) brewed with Mosaic hops and dry-hopped with seven different varietals: centennial, Citra, Ella, Galaxy, Idaho 7, Mosaic, and nelson sauvin.

According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Pineapple Space Cake will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles. An email send to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
