A new release from Clown Shoes Beer is being brewed for a good cause.
The beer is Double Chocolate Sonata, a 10 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with cacao nibs before being aged in bourbon barrels. According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the stout was designed by Dave Pappas of the Black Ale Project, “a craft beer initiative to raise money and awareness on behalf of U.S. war veterans.” In addition, $5 of every case of the beer will be donated to Homes For Our Troops, an organization that builds specially adapted homes for severely injured veterans.
Double Chocolate Sonata will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
