There is a new marshal in town.
According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Cigar City Brewing will be releasing Cognac Barrel-Aged Marshal Zhukov’s, a Russian imperial stout aged for an “extensive” amount of time in French cognac barrels.
As the name suggests, the base beer is the Tampa, Fla.-based brewery’s Marshal Zhukov’s Imperial Stout (11.5 percent ABV), and there have been a number of variants released over the years including Marshal Zhukov’s Penultimate Push Imperial Stout, Vanilla Hazelnut Marshal Zhukov’s Imperial Stout and Bourbon Barrel-Aged Marshal Zhukov’s Imperial Stout, among others.
Cognac Barrel-Aged Marshal Zhukov’s will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
