This weekend, Bottle Logic Brewing is bringing back the only American strong ale-style beer in its Stasis Project Series.
The beer is Stronger Than Fiction 2017, a 13 percent ABV American strong ale that has been aged in both bourbon and rum barrels and conditioned on both coconut and coffee beans sourced from Coldbot Coffee in Orange, Calif. The strong ale debuted last year, but that version came in at a slightly higher 14.3 percent ABV and was only aged in bourbon barrels.
People of Earth! We’re delighted to announce the return of one of our favorite #StasisProject experiments of 2016, #StrongerThanFiction! . This year’s batch of American Strong Ale has been aged in a combination of rum and bourbon barrels, then finished on silky sweet coconut tempered with the earthy roastiness of our Barrel Wrangler Sean Flannery’s @ColdbotCoffee! . Our Public Eventbrite Sale will take place this Sunday at 12:00pm PDT — check out the sale site (link in profile) for all of the delicious details!

Stronger Than Fiction 2017 is part of Bottle Logic’s Stasis Project Series, which “celebrates the barrel as a fifth ingredient” and includes other notables such as Fundamental Observation (13.7 percent ABV), Leche Borracho (11 percent ABV) and Ground State (12.5 percent ABV), among others.
According to a post by the Anaheim-based brewery, Stronger Than Fiction 2017 will be packaged in 500ml bottles ($19.95) that will go on sale via Eventbrite on Aug. 6, with a three bottle per person limit. Purchasers can pick up their bottles starting on Aug. 12 and no proxies will be allowed.
