The latest version of one of Bell’s Brewery, Inc.’s most anticipated creations is closer to release.

That beer is Black Note Stout 2017, an 11.2 percent ABV imperial stout that has been aged in “freshly retired oak bourbon barrels” and was originally released in 2007. Last seen in 2016, the popular stout is actually a blend of two of the Comstock, Mich.-based brewery’s beers: Expedition Stout (10.5 percent ABV) and Double Cream Stout (6.1 percent ABV.)

According to a label filed with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC), Black Note Stout 2017 will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery requesting additional information was not returned.
