There’s a new red coming from Boston, and this one has little in common with socks or baseball.

Samuel Adams is working toward the release of its version of a Boston red Irish style ale in bottles. Bottling the beer is a departure from being “historically only… found on tap in Boston, making it impossible to take home this piece of the city’s brewing history … until now” according to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). The 750ml bottle of 5.7 percent ABV ale features pale and caramel malts.

It is recommended to consume the limited Boston brewery release prior to March 2018 for “brewery fresh taste.”

An email sent to Samuel Adams seeking additional detail was not immediately returned.

Hell ya!!! You can only get Brick Red in 17 bars in Boston. They were the initial bars that put Sam on tap before they became the Sam they are now. So as a reward they created Brick Red for those few establishments. I hope they will release this nationwide because it is my FAVORITE beer anywhere!!!!
