Firestone Brewery has released Revolution 004, the latest member of the Luponic Distortion Series.
All four beers in Luponic Distortion share 5.9 percent ABV and a malted wheat base. Released every 90 days beginning in April, the individual profile of each beer comes from brewmaster Matt Brynildson’s combinations of traditional and experimental hops.
Firestone Walker Revolution 004 features four hops varieties from South Africa.
“These hops presented these super explosive tropical qualities,” said Brynildson in a press release. “Revolution 004 is a departure from the more citrusy stone fruit personality of Revolution 003.”
On a Facebook post, Firestone Walker indicated that Revolution 004 has shipped to the East Coast.
For folks passing through central California, Revolution 004 will be available at the brewery store in six-packs of 12-ounce cans and bottles beginning this weekend.
