Arizona Beer Week is coming next month, and with a little bit of luck, a new collaboration between Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co. out of Gilbert, Ariz. and Tulsa, Okla.-based Prairie Artisan Ales will be available for the first time during the festivities.

Named Fernet Saison, the beer is a dark saison, “infused with the same botanicals you’ll find in fernet” according to Wes Morrison brand ambassador for Arizona Wilderness. In addition, the ale is brewed with Simcoe hops, and “will be a smooth 5 percent ABV,” said Morrison.

We are thrilled to have @prairieales in the brewery today for some brewing, libations and exchange of ideas. #azwbeer #prairieales

Arizona Beer Week will begin Feb. 9 with over 200 events statewide. According to Morrison, the beer will be available at Arizona Wilderness Brewery in addition to other locations if all goes well although packaging and pricing have yet to be determined.
